Other than my UK Beatles singles when I got to AMERICA I was given used copies of two LP’s I consider my first. Used because the library where my stepfather worked was throwing them out cause they skipped. (Skipped- a vinyl anomaly wherein the needle replays one groove over and over requiring a gentle kick to the record player or a heavier coin taped to the arm.)
The records were “Fresh Cream” and “Cosmos Factory” I am still surprised upon hearing these records without the skip. My brain has recorded those passages as some sampling precursor and anything else just sounds worng.
