Stage Manager/Assistant Director
Stage Managerial duties for new comedic farce "The Dentist" in New York. Rehearsal and Performance dates are in June, and all information is at http://www.thedentistplay.com. Pay is $125. Two weeks of evening commitment, two weekends plus three performances in the Village. Ability to operate video camera (hand-held VCR type) a plus. Job will not conflict with a day job, or friday/weekend night jobs. Definite opportunity to work with actors as assistant director. Design Opportunity Possible. Must Live in New York City immediate area.

Are you (or do you know) a classical or jazz musician from the Washington Heights neighborhood? We’ve got a special opportunity for you to share your talent with our school children. PS/I.S.187, the Hudson Cliffs School, would like to invite guest artists to perform for first through fourth grade students during their quiet lunchtimes. These “musical lunches” will be held on regular schooldays between the hours of 11:45 AM and 1:00 PM. Solo or group performances are fine, provided the music is classical or quiet jazz.  Please be aware that, as a public school, we can only accept volunteer performances and that no sales of recordings are permissible. If you are interested in sharing your talent with the children of our community please contact:

Call for Film Submissions

Rooftop Films is still accepting submissions!

Actually, Rooftop accepts submissions year round. But if you would like to submit your films or videos for the 2005 Rooftop Films Summer Series, you should make sure that they are postmarked on or before Friday, April 1st. We will still accept submissions after that date, but we have already received hundreds of submissions and we can’t promise that we will be able to consider films submitted after that date. Films submitted after deadline will be held onto for future screenings.

The 2005 Summer Series will consist of more than 22 different shows on rooftops in Brooklyn and in magnificent outdoor locations around New York City, with thousands of people coming out to enjoy the films and the view. Don’t miss the opportunity to have your short or feature length films shown at one of our unforgettable screenings!

Submission Guidelines:

*Write your name, address, email, phone number, and the name of the film DIRECTLY ON the tape or DVD

*We accept films and videos of any length, genre or format.

*Please include a completed Submission Form <http://rooftopfilms.com/2005_submission_form.pdf>  with your film.

*Please enclose $7 per filmmaker. You can submit as many films as you would like for the single submission fee. No films will be turned away due to lack of funds, but any contribution is appreciated.
