Alec K Redfearn & the Seizures
The Seizures is a new quartet from Providence's premier accordion player Alec K Redfearn. Redfearn is a consistently compelling composer, and his most recent visit to WFMU was with Providence avant-jazz group Barnacled. The new quartet is inspired by everything from Eastern European folk traditions, Captain Beefheart, Kurt Weill and the Wipers. They refuse to be categorized as gypsy punk.
