Setec
Equally as influenced by the complex melodies of Joni Mitchell as he is by the cut-n-paste aesthetic of Cornelius or The Avalanches, Setec (the moniker of Sydney-based solo artist Joshua Gibbs) is a musical attempt to blend the organic with the electronic; to meld the fleeting flickers of the past with nostalgia for a future that is yet to happen. Having previously released the ambient EP Longer Letters, his music has received attention on Australian radio stations Triple J and FBi Radio, and has been featured in promotional videos for Triple J’s One Night Stand on ABC Televsion.
