Tim Held
Tim Held is an electronic musician and film composer residing in the Pacific Northwest. Seattle’s The Stranger has said that his sound is defined by inventively jittery rhythms and kaleidoscopically bizarre textures. Hailed as “one of the few Seattle producers making IDM sound vital and inventive”, Dave Segal chronicled Held’s 2015 release, TypicalHaunts, as “one of the best electronic records to come out of [Seattle] in the last five years.” In early 2015 tracking for his 3rd full-length record, Terminal Hymns filled the gaps in- between live performances and freelance film composing. Held views his latest effort as a sister-album to TypicalHaunts that builds on his established aural voice and further explores themes of emotional and existential exhaustion.
